I met Petey and gave him a CD last weekend. Pretty cool meeting the all-time hits leader in major-league history. See the video of the meeting at www.myspace.com/patbaconmusic .

Shadow Woodstock III was a great success. Starting with the 5k "Mud March" in the morning and finishing up with the 2nd or 3rd rendition of "The Lesbian Song" everything went smoothly. Thanks Jay Schabel and the many volunteers and sponsors who put together this great (and growing) charity event.

"The Lucky Ones" climbed into the top 10 on the Americana charts at Garageband.com ... this is not an easy task, as you have to go through several rounds of reviews (done by some very picky musicians)... pretty cool.

"The Lucky Ones" has been made the Americana Track of the Week for May 14th-20th at Garageband.com. The song has gradually been creeping up the charts with positive reviews ...

The launch of "Let's Live Forever" is official. The release party at Doc Holiday's was a great success ... manager said it was their best Sunday EVER. Thanks to everyone who came out and showed support.

"Let Petey In" got it's first spin when it was debuted on WCKY, Cincinnati's all-sports radio station. Pat talked about the band and the song with Lance McAlister. Check out www.wcky.com ...

The Rebellion just got back from a weekend in Atlanta at the Kobalt Tools 500 NASCAR event. What a spectacle! We played at the main gate and it went great ... despite morning temps in the 40s. Thanks to Teddy Austad who put it together for us and put out every fire that came up.

Well ... after seven months the CD "Let's Live Forever" is done. We poured a lot of our souls into this one ... and I think it was worth it. Now we need to work harder to make sure it gets heard...

Thanks to all who made it out to Floyd's Saturday for a great night. It was cool to see some familiar faces ... Paddy McGuire and his brother Spike ... Hatle ... and perhaps most surprising, an appearance by Flappy Thompson! Wow ... Elvis is in the room!

The third CD, tentatively titled "Let's Live Forever" is currently being recorded at Jacque's Place in Eden Prarie. Most rhythm tracks are completed, and we are working on guitars and vocals at the moment...

Pat's music can be heard at www.garageband.com in the "Americana" category. Currently, three songs are being charted with more to follow.

We learned last Friday that Mary Crozier-Sauer passed away at age 41. Mary was instrumental in bringing Anastasia to our family and spent her life helping children and families. The world is a better place because of her time here...

off to the studio today to officially start grinding out the new record. "In Heaven" reached the Country Top Ten list at Broadjam. This makes either six or seven songs (lost count...) to reach the Top Tens at Broadjam. Someone will notice eventually...

Butch, Steve and I spent the past few days in the studio recording rough cuts for the next record, hopefully to be completed by the end of the year...

A great time playing at Shadow Woodstock. I even did the 5k run through the mud in the morning. Thanks to Jay Schabel and his family for organizing a great event and raising some serious money for charities. ps ... Matt Benes cheated during the mud run...

In response to the note in my guestbook from Teddy Austad... our first basement band "Simon Bar Sinister" was going to be a heavy metal band. Unfortunately, while working on our first song "Resurrection from Hell", we broke a string on the guitar and noone knew how to fix it. We disbanded and went back to smashing Tonka trucks. Great to hear from Uncle Teddy...

My Pitching Machine Baseball team (Team #28)broke a three-game losing streak last night with a resounding 13-5 thrashing of hated rivals, Team #27. The lads gelled defensively, with the exception of one disastrous 5-run inning. The offense is coming around ... finally starting to lose the uppercuts learned in coach pitch.

Bacon's Rebellion will be performing at Summerfest on July 2 and 3. We will be on the McNally Smith College of Music Tiki Hut stage ... between two of the major stages. They opted to keep Tom Petty on the big stage...
